It’s been a wild year for the “West Wing” star Aaron Paul, whose Netflix drama series has been nominated for nine Emmys and is on a streak of nominations and wins that could last through the season.
But Paul is now facing some serious criticism for his latest film, “The West Winger,” in which he plays a woman who takes a job with a Hollywood agency.
“It’s not the movie I wanted to make,” Paul told Vulture in an interview on Wednesday.
“I don’t want to say it’s not funny, because I am.”
I have never been in a movie where it feels like the plot was so poorly conceived.
I never felt the characters were being fully developed or the tone was right.
It feels like it was conceived in a rush, and the audience was not given the proper time to get to know the characters.
The writing was very poorly conceived, and there was no reason to believe they were going to be true to the characters, or the world they were creating.
Paul said the character in his new film, played by Olivia Wilde, was played by “one of my favorite actresses in the world, and that she was very well written.”
“But the thing that was funny about that was that I didn’t know if I wanted it to be the best movie that I ever made, or if I should just let her go,” Paul continued.
“It was like, ‘You know what?
I can’t do this.
You know what I mean?
So I thought, ‘I’m not going to do it, and I’m not even going to try to make it better.’
And so I just let it be.”
Paul also revealed that he is not an avid fan of “Scream,” saying that he’s “never seen it,” but that he “could see myself liking it.”
“I don´t know if it would have worked, but I did see it in theaters, and it had a nice tone,” Paul said.
“So maybe if I can find some time to make more movies I can see that.”
While Paul is still trying to figure out what to do with his career, he said he’s been enjoying being able to put his creative energies to work.
He said he will continue to work on his upcoming project, “Bully,” and is working on a new TV series that he will direct.

“[Rob Lowe] is really good, but he just gets so angry at the White House, and at President Trump, that he just pisses off,” he said.
As for his current projects, Paul said he is working with “the best actors I’ve ever worked with,” including “Mad Men” star Megan Mullally.
In fact, Paul was the first actor to cast Mullally as a co-star in his latest movie, “Shark Tank,” after she was cast as the former Trump press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders in the show.
Mullally said that she is “happy to be a part of something that’s so important to me,” and she has been “extremely open and honest and sincere” about her opinions on Trump.
